Objectives

VLF4EU VET Alliance

VLF4EU aims to establish a collaborative VET/HVET alliance across Europe to promote innovation and the knowledge triangle, with activities such as ideation workshops and partnership building. Key efforts include defining network governance, fostering cooperation, enhancing pedagogy, and attracting investments. Additionally, a sustainable and inclusive VLF model will be created to support regional development.

architecture
Flexible Workshops and Modular System Architecture

To create a flexible workshop and modular system architecture for virtualizing Learning Factories. This involves designing and deploying an industrial digital twin based on pedagogical requirements. Industry standards like OPCUA for data transfer and open frameworks will be used to ensure interoperability and introduce students to the industrial ecosystem.

VLF4EU Immersive Platform

To develop an immersive VLF4EU platform and tools to facilitate content creation for training in both physical and virtual settings. Four key functionalities will be developed: a “no code” tool for content creation by teachers, a tool for creating assessment tests, a tool to convert 3D models for immersive technologies, and real-time visualization of digital twin data.

Train the Trainers Program

Crate train the trainer programs on immersive content creation and on VLF4EU pedagogy approaches (reflection, multiple perspectives and voices, empowerment of students to take responsibilities) for teachers to implement learning goals (including digital and green skills) on a VLF .

VLF4EU Learning Path Definition
Define a Learning Path to close industrial skills gaps with micro-credentials, focusing on green skills like sustainable materials, energy efficiency, and waste management. This will improve manufacturing processes and promote environmental responsibility in the machine tool industry.
Development of 10 Pilot Cases

To develop 10 pilot cases on the virtualised learning factories. This pilot cases will be selected via the VLF4EU Open Innovation model. This pilot cases will serve to evaluate the feasibility, effectiveness, and potential challenges before wider implementation.

Expected Results
