The VLF4EU project is presented during the +INDUSTRY trade show in Spain

The European project VLF4EU was prominently featured at the AFM CLUSTER stand during the +INDUSTRY 2025 trade fair, held from June 3 to 5 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC). This participation served to highlight an initiative that aims to transform vocational education and training (VET) through immersive and cutting-edge technologies. Visitors to the AFM CLUSTER space had the opportunity to learn about the project’s goals and ts practical applications in the training of future professionals in the manufacturing sector.

+INDUSTRY 2025 closed its doors with a highly positive balance and atotal of 12,120 visitors.  his year’s edition stood out for its high technological level, the quality of its offerings, and a top-level staging, making it the largest smart manufacturing event in Spain. Professionals from 47 countries attended, and the exhibition brought together 873 companies showcasing nearly 1,500 products across key industrial sectors such as automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, digitization, subcontracting, and more.

VLF4EU (Virtual Learning Factories for EU) aims to revolutionize VET by integrating technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and digital twins into learning environments. The project equips students with essential digital and green skills, preparing them to drive innovation in manufacturing SMEs. VLF4EU bridges the gap between education and industry, aligning with the vision of Industry 5.0 and enabling a more hands-on, technology-driven learning experience.

As a European alliance of virtual learning factories, VLF4EU promotes collaboration between VET providers, universities, SMEs, and industry associations across Europe. Its presence at +INDUSTRY 2025, supported by AFM CLUSTER, was a valuable opportunity to create synergies and showcase how immersive education can help develop the skilled talent that the industry needs. The project reinforces the connection between training and industrial innovation, through forward-thinking methodologies, applied research, and immersive learning experiences.
